I am having a XM Roady XT put in my 2005 Mustang (with the PIE adapter) next week.

I am looking for some mounting location suggestions for my installer.

Well, up till last week, I had mine mounted inside the center console....Not much of a channel surfer...worked great. But as of now, I have installed a new Alpine HU with the XM built in. I love it. Antenna is on the back deck.

I have mine mounted between the 2 vents above the A/C.

 

Boomerman, do you have any pictures? That is my first choice for location. Did you have to drill holes? Did you use the FM modulator or the AUX button?

I installed my MyFi immediately to the right of my Skipper 500:



Its not the optimal mounting location but it suits my needs...
