Ya only a couple of people have done them so far.

I have been meaning to do mine for a while I just haven't got around to it. Mainly cuz it is has been absolutely freezing around here lately and I don't want to work in the garage when it is that cold. I have however built my sub box already and I am going to start working on the amp rack next. I will be sure to take a lot of pictures during the process once I do start it.

I love the sound of the JL's...like I said, some custom fiberglass was done to accomodate the much larger magnets of the JL's, but they sound great! I like not having a muffled sound coming from the trunk...it's all right there!

As for whether or not that depth would work better, I'm not really sure, unfortunately. The depth didn't seem to be an issue with mine...it was that the magnets on the Shaker subs are about the size of a silver dollar.

Sub is a JL audio 10w6v2. Custom fiberglass box tucked to the left hand side of the trunk area.

Amp rack is to the right hand side of the trunk area. 2 amps a the sirius receiver tucked behind them. This set up allows me almost the full trunk space to work with.
