I am looking at putting in used lighted vanity mirrors from another vehicle in my sun visors. Suggestions as to which car to pull them out of? What would look OEM and have nice features?

I have been dying to do the same. Let me know what you find out and how it may be wired. I would think a lincoln vehicle would do the trick.

 

Maybe a higher line Ford Vehicle like the 500 or something

 

I like the idea, change the visor and run the wire.

 

Visors from a new car are not readily available, and would be expensive. I did see some from a Cadillac that looked nice, but they were the wrong colour. Plenty of old stuff, but not much new in the wreckers. I would like the ones from a new Taurus, but I wouldn't find any outside of a wrecker.

When I do find what I like, I will probably have to remove the mirrors from the visors and attach the lighted ones to my visors. I haven't looked to see where I will get power, yet.

I noticed something interesting ... the vanity mirrors in the Taurus, MKZ etc are the same as the vanity mirrors in my wife's Jeep Liberty. Guess I can look for a wrecked Liberty and use those.
