I just talked to George at MGW and he said that if we get about 20 people to call and order one, they could make a custom order of these plugs. They will be red and say "Trunk Monkey" on them. We started talking about it on this thread http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index....pic=35317&st=0 If you do not know what I am talking about, go to http://www.trunkmonkey.com and watch the old super bowl commercials. I can almost guarantee you will want one after you watch! He said that each person will have to call in individually, and then once they get 20 people's orders, they will make them. After I get 20 people to respond with their interest, I will call George back and start the order off and you guys can follow suit. Here is the list of people on here that have expressed interest:

George told me to wait until I get 20 people to reply on here, and then give him a call back to start the process. So, you might want to hold off a couple of days, then I can put an update here.

Sounds neat. Can anyone do a Photoshop of what this will look like (i.e. red with the "Trunk Monkey" logo)? I'm on the edge right now. I kind of like the GT chrome plug, but can be persuaded...

The ones that they currently sell are $20. I'm not sure if they will charge us more for the custom job. I don't imagine it will be much more than that though.

I would imagine that it will look very similar to the picture above, but I doubt that they will even make a sample until they get 20 orders in. Sorry

Maybe once they write the CMM program, they can send me a screenshot of what the lettering will look like.

 

I called MGW today and had a very funny conversation. The nice lady had to speak with George (I presume) before she took my name for the Trunk Monkey button. I was told they will have to get about 25 orders and then check to see if the name"Trunk Monkey" is copyrighted so there would be no infringements. I guess they are thinking about what Ford did to them with the Mustang pictured items. Anyhow, I am on the list. She said it probably wouldn't happen anytime soon.

 

It was probably the same lady I talked to. I had to convince her for a while that I was actually serious about this before she even let me talk to George. At first she just kept telling me that they don't do anything custom (yeah right, EVERYTHING is custom), and then she finally just connected me to him. As long as they know we are serious, then it should be able to go through.
