After changing the radio out, the Shaker 1000 sounds great. However I am considering changing the front and rear subs. Has anyone done this yet and how did it turn out? I know I've seen some pictures with the 8's in the doors replaced somewhere. How do they come out? I assume from the front as the back is enclosed. Any thoughts would be nice.

Thanks Mike

To remove the 8's, you have to remove the door panel. There is a 10mm bolt going into the backplate of the driver. Otherwise, it's straightforward- remove 8 screws and it comes right out. I think there is exactly 3.5" of depth for direct drop in, and you could get another .25" with just a little bit of work to the back of the enclosure.
