Because I'm going aftermarket on the stereo, I wanted to do something cool with the sub grilles (I don't want to keep the ones that say Shaker 500 on them)...these are renders, and I apologize for the quality, but I'm trying to mimic the IUP with a chrome rim and then brushed aluminum accents. Please let me know what you think!

Er...yeah...#2 was supposed to be:

I like the number 1 and 2. But I would like them better if the horse was going the other way. The horse looks backwards to me.

Since the horses are from the sides of older mustangs, I was going to get a pair of them...that way they both face forwards.

And the Shaker 500 has subs in the doors...not in the trunk.

#2 and #4 are the best IMO, the tri-color might be a little much, and in real life, I think the mesh should be a lot tighter(maybe having 2mm square spaces)

Are you sure they are subs? From when i saw the car at NYAS, they were speakers.

Gotta remind everyone that the placement of of the door subs will mean they will see their fair share of kicks and scuffs. Anything without a grill/mesh/screen would mean that the speaker would be easily damaged.

All indications I've had so far is that they're woofers...doesn't matter to me...I'm wiring subs in there.

Besides...they're 8-inchers (I measured)...I don't think there are a lot of coax's that size...at least not in the car arena.

they've been stated as being SUBS in the door...not just WOOFERS
Shaker500 has 2 subs -> one in each door
Shaker1000 has 4 subs -> one in each door, 2 more in the trunk enclosure
