My CDC 3rd brakelight has come loose and I need some strong double sided sticky tape to remount it. I bought a small roll of 3M double sided mounting tape and the stuff isn't sticky enough. Any ideas?

 

Here is a listing of different 3M tape types and their uses. I used this list to decide on which to get as a replacement tape for my chin spoiler.

I used 06394 and it was plenty strong enough, though it may be too thick for your application. At any rate, there are other choices listed and dont forget the adhesion promoter
On edit: I forgot to mention that you may have to order it online like I did. I couldn't find it in stores anywhere.

 

The 3M tape used to install body kits (has the red backing) works great. If you use some adhesion promoter on the back of the brake light, you would have a hard time removing it after.

 

Contact CDC. They're pretty good about sending out extra tape.

 

I bought some of the red backed 3M tape and I think that will do the trick. Thanks for the replies.
