I am not happy with the sound quality of my Shaker 500 compared to the Mach 460 in my ’03. As a partial lower cost fix, I bought four Pioneer TS-A 6870R speakers to replace the stock ones.
My question is this; since I have to cut the factory leads, how do I maintain the correct phasing between the four? Both the stock and the Pioneers are not marked for + or -? The factory wires are also different colors at each speaker, so again how to maintaing the correct phasing?
Thanks for any input.

i have those same exact speakers in my mustang. and when i installed them i had the same question, so i just put the wires on each slot to see which one would work, funny thing was no matter which wire i had on the speakers connector the sound stayed the same.
