Speaker Help?
I have a 2009 v6 w/ shaker 500 system..Im looking to upgrade my sound system but i don't know much about car audio.. all i kknow is that i have the shaker 500..
Can someone tell me what the diff speakers are in the picture? (a/b).. i believe A is jsut a regular speaker and then b are the 8" door subs? Is that right? if so, should i be putting tweeters or co axel speakers into the A spot?
Are they both worth upgrading?
Thanks

Yes, B is the 8" sub and A is the mid/high range speaker, I replaced mine with kicker's. I used the Shelby 8" sub which is a Kicker and got a Kicker satellite set to replace the upper one, moving the high range away from the mid range made a big difference. I put mine in front of the door handle, but you can put it where ever you want too.

Ive been thinking about changing my speakers as well but I am not sure if there is a point to. Is the difference that noticeable?

The biggest difference was moving the high range speaker from where it is located in the OEM speakers, it's on the lower end as you can see and is behind the dash when the door is closed. Also with the satellite system you get an actual 6X8 mid range speaker, not a smaller round one.

I changed all my speakers out the 4 6x8 in the doors to Kenwood Excelon as well the 2xd or subs to slim Excelon subs no issues but I did wore my 8" door subs up with my 2x10" Excelon subs in the trunk with a seperator amp so that the factory 4 amps run just the 4x6x8's
