Some simple cheap mods for now, pics inside!

First off of course the Fusion key, not much to see here

Next some white welting to bring a little of the exterior color inside with some custom GT/CS mats.

And finally a custom homelink install (I don't know why Ford doesn't just make this standard)

Got some new axlebacks coming monday so it didn't stay stock for long, about 3 weeks!

It's from ebay, it was a general unit but the color matches perfectly. It's a bit of a pain to install, although there would be more room if you don't have the factory anti-theft.

Looking great! I'm thinking of doing the home link install myself, I hope it turns out as nice as yours!

Homelink is a standard opener that can be programed to open about any garage door, they come standard in a lot of cars sometimes they are built into the visor. I can't understand why ford did not make this standard on the Mustang.

It's kinda of a pain to modify the map lights but it works although I have a wiring problem which confuses me; if both map lights are on the homelink unit will not work but all other times it works fine

You can get these units of ebay, most of the time they are ripped out of visors and only need a 12v source to work.

As for the welting I needed to trim the flat edge to get it to fit correctly, not sure if the welting I received was a little long on the tail end but once I trimmed it (A pain though) it fit very nicely.

The homelink system looks good in your pics. that might be something id like to check on. Did you wire the system off of the map light wiring or run another up there? Seems logical to splice or no?

Yes I wired it into the map lights, have had no problem except the odd fact that it will not work when both lights are on
