Show me your SINGLE DIN stereo installs
Title says it all, I'm looking to see single din receivers in your S197! I'm contemplating replacing the stereo in my Mustang and having navigation and a touch screen isn't important to me so I'd rather save some money and not go double din.
However, I also don't want it to look too cheap if that makes sense, so I'm hoping to get a feel for the way a single din looks in our car and if there's any unique things that others have done with the extra space instead of just a little storage spot. For example has anybody installed aftermarket gauges below a single din receiver?

OP, what's your budget? I have seen many single din installs with an external EQ taking up the rest of the space. Looks good and gives you more adjustments.

Same here. I used to have an external 11-band alpine eq until I got an older pioneer unit with an internal 13band. I had it in the center console though since it was a little beat up.

That's a good idea! Budget is flexible, I haven't 100% decided what I want to do yet. I'm waiting to see how tax season treats me this year. I got screwed last year and owed the man 600 bucks.
