I know there have been a few threads on here about where to attach a shift light but I wanted to get some pics of where people have been placing their lights. Also if nobody has any picks I am open to ideas also.

I don't know if it is possible but I wanted to place it on the steering column? Since this would be my first shift light I wanted to get some feed back on where the optimal location would be? Thanks.

Good idea for a product would be for someone to use the 3 "dead Switches" that are left of the 12 volt dash plug. I have been waiting for someone to come out with a shift light and or digital boost display etc....Any fabricators out there want to give that a try?
Cheers!!

I like the Raptor shift light, and their site has it mounted in a pretty good spot on the '05+.

I went with a Raptor shift light and a Speed of Sound gauge pod. Order it with the Raptor Claw and it allows mounting of the shift light on one of the guage pods.

I can't thank you enough. I love the gauges and the shift light location from speed of sound. By the way it looks great!

Gauges are Revo Rev2s from Revo Technica in California. Installation of the actual gauge pod is a piece of cake. Alan ( Speed of Sound ) purchases actual Ford A pillar covers and has the gauge pods manufactured to match the color and texture, and mounts them to the pillar and sells it all as one piece. So installation is as simple as removing and reinstalling the factory A pillar. The gauge installation is as simple or as hard as the type of gauge you decide to install. If you install a water temp gauge, you need to drill for a sensor. If you install an oil pressure guage, you will need to "T" off of the factory oil pressure switch, and so on. The shift light is a complete piece of cake. Raptor makes a killer solution for the 05s. No adaptor needed, just set the dials for the RPM you want the shift light to come on, and choose the number of cylinders. In our case, you choose one cylinder because you are only timing off of a single cylinder. Just hook the sensor wire to a green wire on the top of one of the coil packs, give it a switched power source, and a ground, and it is ready to go.
