Ok.. Does anyone have the actual readings of what the Shaker 500 puts out.. because i deal with electronics and compared to my 500Watt Home Entertainment system with the same size sub, i feel like i get alot more of ump outta my Philps than i do my Shaker 500.. My Floor Shakes .. But i just was wondering if it is an actual 500Watt to each sub or is it a 500amp divided to all speakers and both the subs.. But any information would be helpful.

The total system peak wattage is 500. The headunit is rated at 40Wx4 peak plus the subs (in this case would be 170W peak each). The 1000 adds two 250W peak subs in the trunk.

Your home system is probably rated for RMS, plus it's also designed for an open space where more sound is required.

I replaced my '05 Focus unit with a Shaker 500 - other than the location of the mounting brackets, it was a perfect fit. I have the Sony system in my Focus (has the OEM subwoofer in the trunk). I could not tell the difference.
