Shaker 500 door subs?
I'm looking to replace the subwoofers in my doors with aftermarkets. But I've been told it's not possible without custom fitting and a new amp. Anyone made this swap? Subs to recommend or avoid?

I've got these, they stick out a little further than the OEM ones, but fit without having to do any cutting. You'll have to cut the OEM connectors off the wires and splice the wires together.

Yes they were a good upgrade, but the biggest change came when I swapped the upper ones. I put in a set of Kicker's with satellite speakers for the highs. The OEM speakers are actually a round 5" speaker with an 1.5" high range, the bottom picture, but for some reason Ford put the high range speaker on the bottom end which basically puts it behind the dash. You can see where I put the high range satellite speaker in front of the door handle, that was the biggest change

The satellite speaker connects to the mid range speaker , which replaces the old OEM speaker in the picture. You have to cut the connector off the end of the wiring to the OEM speaker and connect it to the new mid range one, which in turn has it's own wires going to the satellite speaker.

I got a set of the FRPP seats which are cloth. I looked at the take off leather GT500 covers and they were around $800 for the front set, I found another place that made leather covers for the seats and they were about $1000 for the front set. I have the Boss rear seat delete and don't need rear covers. I have a local interior guy who put Roush covers on my seats several years ago, so I decided to have him make me a set instead. He had done his own car in BMW brown and I liked it, so I had him do mine in it too. He embroidered the Recaro logo on the seats and removed the seatbelt/air bag electronics from the old seats and put them in the new one so that my air bags and seatbelts all work. He also wrapped my center console and door panels to match.

LOL, yea no such luck it cost me a bit. But like I told him, it was something I would get to enjoy, where as things I do on the outside other people get to enjoy.
