was just wondering if the stock shaker 500 stereo had preamp outputs

Actually it does -- the wires running into the factory sub amps are low-level (the ones with a bare braided wire). I believe they are even full-range.

i thought the same. however- i asked a friend whos only job is working on ford radios. he said they dont...unless you mean they are something different from the conventional patch cable outputs.

well, he's right in that there are no RCA outs, it's all hardwired [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/nonono.gif[/img] but the wires going into the external sub amps are low-level and work fine with scotch-locks.

Be careful tapping into them. You might check out Soundgate's LOCB.2 adapter which was recommended to me by one of their technicians.
