Shaker 1000 w/ Sirius & iPod
Shaker 1000 w/ Sirius & iPod
I'm still looking for a nice iPod solution for my 2006 GT with the Shaker 1000 & factory Sirius. I see there are other people looking for the same so even though i don't have a solution I like, i figured I might as well share my research. some of you guys might like them better than i did.

people who want the 2007 glovebox mounted Trip Tunes AUX jack can get it for your 2005 - 2007 here for $50. it's an FM modulator and IMHO it's shi*ty

the advanced trip tunes only works with 2007s but it gives you full ipod control for $260. i beleive it works with factory sirius.

the IPOD2CAR GEN 2 PXDP2 says it gives you full ipod control for $147 and there's even a rig that allows you to retain the factory sirius. like I said, it's a rig and I'm not willing to cut into the harness to sneak in a relay. besides, every time you switch back and forth, the sirius will have to update the channel list. I don't feel like waiting for that. it's bad enough that I have to wait for the slow cd changer.

LogJam still doesn't make an ipod adapter that is compatible with the factory Sirius but they have this. this 3 Aux input adaptor can be used with shaker & the factory sirius. it lets you choose between the factory sirius & 3 sets of RCAs.
$60 unit - http://www.logjamelectronics.com/piex3auxconv.html
$30 harness - http://www.logjamelectronics.com/piex3frdp2.html
can be used with a RCA to 1/8" headphone jack to any mp3 player or you can get a iPod to RCA adapter to finish it off. you won't be able to control the ipod thru the radio but at least it will charge.
$40 iPod2RCA - http://www.logjamelectronics.com/soundauxpdrca.html
I'm getting ready to give up on my search and may just go with this option using just the until & the harness. it's not perfect but it will give me perfect ipod audio and won't screw up my sirius at all.

here are several more ipod adapters with full ipod control that are NOT compatible with Sirius.
The PIE FRD04-POD/S iPOD for $170 is from what i can tell, considered the good one. you have to cut the harness to grab power.
