I hear folks talking about speakers in the rear deck of the coupe. On the Ford web site, it states that the Shaker 1000 has 10 speakers (I know about the multi-cone speakers in the front doors counting as 2 speakers).

So if the vert has no rear deck, where did those speakers get located, since there doesn't seem to be a different number of speakers listed for the vert vs. the coupe?

I believe the rear deck speakers are relocated to the sides of the rear passengers.

I see you're waiting for your '06 like me. I would have thought an '05 vert owner would have answered my question in a heartbeat...

Yes, on verts the speakers are placed on the side panels of the back seats. It's more efficient especially when the top is down.

Oops, congrats! I placed my '06 order about the same date your VIN was created. I wasn't quick enough to order an '05--I was stunned back in May when my dealership told me they weren't accepting any more GT orders.

Looking forward to seeing pix of yours!

Thanks! I thought there were already speakers in the side panels in back, so I wasn't sure if there was room for the speakers that are in the deck in the coupe.

Thank you! It's finally settled then. One question; were there already speakers in the rear seat side panels, and the deck speakers are just added to them?

In the coupe, there are speakers in the rear deck. There are none in the rear seat side panels.
