Shaker 1000 or JL Stealthbox?

Just curious what people think between the two, is the Shaker 1000 up to par or should I skip it on the options page and buy a JL Stealthbox afterwards.

I would say buy a JL Stealthbox. JL Audio has always been a good buy for me and I'm sure it will for you. The shaker 1000 is ok for those who don't plan to upgrade or look at other options, but since you are you will be better off with aftermarket.

That JL stealthbox is sick. Hadn't seen that yet. A custom 13" W6. Nice! I'd personally go that route.

the jl looks pretty mean. although $950 + the price of an amp seems too much for me though. to me the mtx amplified thunderform seems like a much better deal at $550 with a built-in amp. then again, i am not a hard core audiophile.

If I remember correctly, a 12" W6 costs in excess of $400. This is a custom sized woofer in a custom enclosure. While it's a lot of money, I don't think it's out of line for some serious sound.

You cannot even compare the Shaker 100 to that JLAudio setup. The Shakier is not even close to being in the same league.

I have a Stealthbox in my F150 with the dual 8" subs and it sounds fantastic. I was very skeptical that two 8" subs would be enough for me but it was more than enough. JLAudio engineers this things specifically for each car or truck. It's not just some cheap sub and box thrown together they do many sound tests and configurations to determine what works and sounds the best for each application.

Pricey yes but my guess is well worth the money
