Scosche sub box question.

I had an installation question for those of you with the Scosche sub box. Do any of you happen to have instructions for mounting the thing? I know it’s pretty straightforward and bolts into place, but I wonder how the carpet works with the bottom bracket. Is it just folded under or did you have to cut something? Thanks!

Tim

I don't have the Scosche box, but with the Basslink I needed to cut the carpet so I would be able to access the spare wheel well. If you aren't planning on having a spare tire in your trunk, you wouldn't need to cut anything.

I didn't do the install but I just had the carpet folded in case I chose to remove it later. As long as its folded correctly, it won't look like crap.

I emailed Scosche and they were kind enough to send me the installation instructions. They do recommend punching a hole in the carpet for the install. I like the idea of folding much better, thank you for sharing your experience!

Attached are the instructions they sent for anyone who might have the same question down the line.

Hey...thanks for that file.

Call me dumb, I put a hole in mine and it never ocurred to me about accessing the spare tire.

My install was a bit more complicated because I intended to also keep the factory cargo net that uses the same top mounting tab. I got it to work but it took a lot of patience.

I haven't had a problem accessing my spare. with the fold. Hope it works out for you as well as it did for me.
