Scosche Enclosure - Mounting Depth?
The enclosure is really great. I rewired my Fosgate and gave it some more power and the dust cap cracked! Oh well, I got a bonus on my paycheck, so I have an Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1 coming. I'll have it next Monday, and I'll post a pic of it installed. When I installed it, I cut the carpet to fit with a box cutter. I didn't opt for the wingnut. Instead I used a bolt in the lower mounting location, so I don't have to unscrew it to get at my spare, and the carpeting sits flush.

Hey Hawgman,
I was looking at mounting my amps on the back as well. Do you know if those are the only solid mounting points on the backs of the seats? Along the sides where yours are?

This enclosure wont fit 'verts? At least that what Crutchfield's website says. I couldn't find anything on Scosche's site.

Correct. It will not fit the verts

Sorry to hear about your speaker. I've got a Infinity Perfect 12.1d and Alpine amp sitting here just waiting for my box to arrive. It's set to arrive Monday so I'll be sure to post some pics as well. According to the Infinity theile-small parameters, this 1.2cuft box should be perfect.

Today, I installed my Alpine amp and Scosche 12in box with Infinity Perfect 12.1d. Here are some pics of the box front and back and of it all installed. The box quality is quite good, it's some sort of composite all around with a good speaker terminal and a light fill. I had to cutoff the ends of the speaker leads to use bare wire for connections. The top bracket on my box is a bit of a pain, it doesn't mount snug to the box without some washers and it may be tough to line up. The bottom bracked worked fine, I just need to make sure I keep a 14mm socket around in case I need to get to the spare.

It's a perfect fit there. I recommend this box to anyone who doesn't want to build their own. It sounds great. Much better than I thought it would sideways. I had always been told to fire subs toward the tail lights as well, something about the low frequencies need a longer distance to your ears.
I have a JL Audio 10w3 in my Explorer and this 12 hits a little lower and harder. But, now I notice tons of rattles, it's crazy. Everything vibrates... good thing I have some dynamat but I don't think I'll be able to get all the rattles out. I don't have those problems in my Explorer which leads me to think the Mustang is not put together quite as well. That and my IUP always rattles just from normal driving with no radio!

Well, the Exploder also has a LOT more cabin space to pressurize, so rattles will be a bit less. Also, the panels are further from you, so the rattles would be harder to hear. Well, the Mustang SHOULD be built a bit tighter than it is.
Wow, a XXX 15 in 1.2 cubes sealed? And, I seriously doubt the mounting depth would allow it. The old XXX is really deep, and the new one even deeper. I won't say no, but I really doubt it. Custom, sure, but not in the Scosche.
There is a new XXX? I dont know what version I have but I have a 12 from my old car. It just seemed there was enough room to make the hole wider but I wasnt sure about the depth or if it was enough airspace. So no go huh....
Wow...I just saw the pics of the new ones. That looks pretty darn sweet!!! That also would NOT fit in a 15 lol. So would one of the new 12s fit...probably not.

I didn't measure it but my JL 12W6 barely fit. I would say the hole is 11in to 11.86in wide and there is some extra space for the rim of the subwoofer which is about 12.5in wide. I would say depthwise you probably can't go much further than the 7-8in. Here are some specs on my speaker that fits and sounds awesome:
