Satellite radio placement
My XM is the original SkyFi car kit. I just bought the FM modulator from Best Buy and put it and the receiver in the console. It is a pain to open the console every time I want to change the channel, but I tend to pick a channel and leave it there for days, so it's no big. I ran the antenna over the hump and through the back seat and up the trunk lid also. I am going to try it out inside the car somewhere and see if that works also.
This isn't the best way to do it, but it's concealed and didn't involve any crazy mounting stuff.

Well, I have both, and I like some aspects of each better than the other. I really think it depends on what you like the most. I am also a saxophonist, so I like the Sirius jazz stuff a little better, but the talk stations I think are a little better on XM. It really is personal preference.

I am thinking about gettin XM....mainly for the MLB games (it's hard being a Met fan in the south)
Anyway -- wondering if any of you guys have done it and where you place the receiver/antennea...pics?

The kit I was looking at even comes with a remote - so once I learn the buttons - I'll be able to change channels w/o even getting the head unit out of the console.
I liked Sirius more when I was looking at the two because they have more dedicated classic rock stations then XM. I haven't actually listened to XM however, so of course I'm gonna say Sirius is better because that's what I have.
My Here2Anywhere sits in the center console. I ran the antenna wire through the cap over the emergency brake and then under the back seat to the side and then up the side to the back deck. Works like a champ. I don't channel hop much and the FM Modulator has no problem getting clean reception to the FM antenna. Love Sirius for the football, but was really bummed when I found out XM got MLB.

I had no idea Sirius had NFL. I am sold. XM has great comedy stations though. What about Sirius???

I have Sirius. The comedy is ok; not great. Quality is often poor, in terms of the sound.
Unfortunately, you would have to listen to both xm and sirius comedy to decide which one is better. I certainly would not get Sirius for the quality of the comedy stations, as it is hit or miss.
Talk stations, I find mediocre. Jim Breuer is pretty good, as is Jay Thomas. They have the radio chick; which is ok, not great. Then a few things I find pretty lame - - the morning show just not get anywhere. This all changes when Howard comes on board.
Sirius music is very good. I think, from listening to xm in other peoples cars, I think Sirius is better in this regard.
