I have the Shaker 500 in my 06 GT and also a Sirius receiver using the FM demodulator. I have interference problems no matter which of the 3 available FM frequencies I use, and I would like to go direct to the Shaker using the aux input. Also, I am thinking of replacing the the Shaker with a Sony aftermarket unit that has both an equilizer, which I think the Shaker sorely lacks, and a front panel aux input. All the big box stores seem to have attractive prices, and free installation. Any ideas for $200 or less to upgrade the GT audio system considering my Sirius receiver as part of the mix?

That seems a tad high, i bought my modulator from PIE for around $70, install at a local audio shop yesterday was $77 plus i forgot to bring my RCA's and had to buy what they had in stock (monster cable with seperate i-pod inout) for $39.95---that being said, direct connect blows away FM modulation, it is well worth no have the frustration of a crappy signal--for the record, it sounds stellar--at any rate, install should run you no more the $75-$80 bucks if you bring the the adapter and RCA cables. Good Luck--install took them about 2 hours--

After perusing the Circuit City site for Sirius ready indash units, I find that it seems you have to buy a separate Sirius tuner. I am thinking the PIE interface might be the way for me to go if I can live with the Shaker sound.

Thanks for the replies.....

so far I am happy with the Shaker 500 sound, I set the EQ setting for "driver" and it sounds fine, much better than my F-150 I previously drove
