Removing the Manual shift knob
#1
Ok, this might seem like a dumb question, but I ordered a new shift **** and am trying to figure out how the old one comes off. I've attempted to twist it, but there's clearly something holding it in place.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks!

The bottom of the stock shift **** actually has a lip on the bottom that the top of shift boot slides over (tight fit) see picture attached
Lift the bottom of the shift boot out of the console and turn the **** and boot as a unit counter clockwise untill it comes off.
Then once off if you look in the inside of the boot. The round black plastic piece is the bottom of the shift ****. twist and pull the shift **** out of the top of the boot.
