Has anybody changed out their 2005 head unit yet? What tools were required? What about the wiring harness? I plan to order from www.crutchfield.com and they say it will come with a wiring harness that will fit and the dash adapter to make a standard DIN reciever fit in the mustang's oversized hole.

How easy is it to change it out? This will be my first time installing a stereo in a car....... or should I chicken out and see how much the local shop will charge?

Is there a tutorial on how to do it on the net somewhere? or does anybody have any pix of when they did it? Any help would be appreciated.

If you order from Crutchfield they will include all you need to know on how to install.

And if you still can't do it they have technical support to call and they will help you.

Bottom line: Do it yourself.
