Redline Goods Shifter Boot
I ordered a four panel black/gray shifter boot from Redline Goods and was wondering if anyone that has a Redline boot could post some pictures? How much of a pita was it to install on the frame?
I ripped my stock one so this isn't really considered a mod.

Actually it was a heck of a lot easier than the gd e-brake cover. I had it on my 05. I intend to get the complete set for my 07 now too. Great look and brings it all together. E-Boot, Shift Boot, and Console cover.
Looking for pic's in my file

Congrads on the new shift boot, you will love it! I never did like the stock plastic/vinly shift boot.
Here's some pics of mine on their website. I choose Sierra/Black with Silver thread:
http://www.redlinegoods.com/Mustang05shiftboot4.shtm
And I followed their instructions for the install:
http://www.redlinegoods.com/Mustang05install.shtm
The leather is thicker which does affect how it snaps back into place on the console. It's not as a snug as it was before, but it still hold in place well enough, and has never came loose.
I did have to trim the part that goes around the shift **** just a little, and I secured it with some safety wire instead of a zip tie, since a wire was less noticeable than the plastic zip tie underneath the leather. If you use a zip tie, you can feel the "knot" of the square where the zip tie slides through. No big deal, really, but I choose wire since you can't feel where it's twisted together under the leather, it's all smooth.
Post some pics when you're done!

I love mine! It's such a nicer look and material than the stock one (I got the black with red stitching)... I had a pain doing mine, but the pain was worth it when I saw the finished product... I was able to use the same O-ring from the stock boot to secure the leather to the shifter ****... It was my first time ever doing this mod on any car, so it's probably not as flush as it should beon the plastic frame, but I like how it looks and that's all that matters...

Just unscrew it, lefty loosey/counter clockwise. The stock shifter boot is held on by a rubber band, around the bottom of the **** neck, so that just pops right off.

You have to remove the console , but it's not too bad , and then take the part with the rubber around the handle off the console. It's held on by soft plastic tabs that you squish and then pull it off. The hardest part was getting the piece back on with the tabs. IMO it's well worth the work to dress the brake handle up ...

Yea, it was a little bit of a pain to install. For some reason the cuts that he puts in the boot didn't match up with the tabs on my car. I contacted Maciek and he said to go ahead and make some cuts in it. I did this on Sunday and it took me about 45 minutes. I took my time to do it right. In my opinion the end result is well worth the effort. I got all three matching pieces and it just looks friggin great. Go for it!
