So has anyone came out with real chrome accents for the vents and dash yet to replace the plastic ones?

is it really? Just didn't look or feel like it to me

 

My guess is that ring around the vents are plastic. I could be wrong though.

 

The chrome around the vents is on plastic. A good friend of mine has a shop where he has the ability to nickel, copper, chrome and other plating options. To do plastic items such as a/c ***** and trim for our cars, you must first paint them with a special paint which allows for the ionization or the chroming to occur. That paint will be here thursday, and we are going to test it out on the factory ac adaptor cover before we do my door sill covers. I will update with pics if you guys are interested.
