Radio on, door open...ding-ding-ding ??
OK, tried the search....hard to come up with the right search term.
Isn't there a key postion to allow you to listen to the radio with the door open and NOT get the ding ding ding warning of leaving your key in??
I'd just like to sit and listen to the radio after lunch for a bit before going back in to work. I realize that if I was a youngin crankin the music up to party the noise would be drowned out...not the case here.
Thanks!
John

Unfortunately-no. However closing the door latches manually (just remember to kick them back open by pulling on either the inner or outer door handle before closing.) would override the door open switches. Hope this helps.
That is the "run" or "on" position. leaving it in that position will drain your battery faster than the accessory position because it will be powering all the dozens of sensors all over the car as if it were running. Each sensor being powered pulls a little bit of juice...and with so many sensors on these cars...that adds up quick! Not saying you shouldn't do it, but probably need to be careful if your going to do it for longer than say an hour. Also, make sure and turn off the HVAC (heat/vent/air conditioning) so the blower motor doesn't keep going.
another option would be, start the car roll the window down get out close the door and reach in and turn the car off, you should have a good 15 minutes of play time with just the radio pulling power and no sensors
i believe in your manual it shows a way to make the time the radio stays on after turning off the car even longer then 15 minutes, but im not possative
