Thumbs up

Is your aluminum dash flush on the passenger side where the airbag is? On mine, the right side bulges out a little bit and wanted to see if I'm alone in this or is it happening to everyone. I'm hoping everyone says flush so I can take it in to be corrected. Thanks in advance for the replies!

I haven't noticed any bulging in mine. That would really bug me if it did.

The top flap bulges in the center a little, not completely flush on the right corner.
No biggie B)

Why was this moved? It isn't about a modification but a potential problem with the car. Maybe we need a Problems sub-forum, I could understand it being moved there.

Me too. Too many topics relevant to all '05 owners are getting tossed around. I'm glad I caught this so I know what to check out when I take delivery.

huge bulge.....IN MY PANTS (*Tom Green mode off)

Seriously though. I did have slight bulge just over the passenger side airbag area. What's worse, my car developed a horrible squeak/rattle sound coming from that exact area. Sounded like crap. Squeaked on bumps, when braking, turning, accelerating etc. Had to blast the shaker just to drown it out. Finally took it back to the dealer, who told me a faulty airbag assembly was the culprit (I can scan the repair sheet if needed). In any event, they replaced the bad hardware, and sprayed something called "anti-squeak foam" (so they say) into the inner dash area. I'd never heard of any such thing but I'm inclined to take their word for it as the squeak totally disappeard after they serviced it. Oh and btw, there is still a very slight bulge, but nothing I'm going to worry about....

nope, no bulge... and I want some of that magic no squeak spray, not for the car, just stuff around the house when WD-40 can't cut it.
