Question for 05stangkc - Headlight Switch

Hey Kevin - I searched and found nothing, so perhaps this has not been discussed...

I have been wanting to install a remote trunk switch. I have seen where people have tied into the proper wire and mounted a remote switch in the glove box (such as in this thread http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showth...release+button).

But I want something a little more accessible. And I don't want to be drilling holes all over. I would like to end up with a stock / factory look...

A salesman stopped into work today and he was driving an 07 Ford 500. I looked at the interior and noticed that the headlight switch pod looks similar to the one in the Mustang, and it had a switch for the trunk release!

So, the question is: are the headlight switch pods the same size?

I know the plate that the mustang switch snaps to has an empty spot that looks like it is for another switch so it is possible.

If thats true you can always get a spare remote, and mount a button on the front of the light switch plate, mount the spare remote on the back of the switch. (No holes drilled or tapping wires)

My brother and I did that in his old lumina. It had no trunk release he got a spare remote and we went at it.

You might have more luck posting this in Kevins Forum section, or even emailing him. He is one busy guy these days and I doubt he has time to check all the sub-forums.
