So i went to the dealership on Nov 2 about a problem I'm having with my shaker 500 so the service guy told me that they would have to send it out because they dont do the work on the radio's there he told me it would be about a week. Well it's been 4 weeks and 2 weeks ago i found out that they are going to have to replace my radio but it's on back order at delco. What should i do i dont have a radio and it's killing me. Should i call the dealer and complain. Has anyone else had this problem. Not only is my radio being replace i have to take it in because the door hand on the outside of the car doe'snt go all the way back into place. So far i had the ball join replace now the radio and now the door handles. Anyone else have these problems what should i do please help.

 

My 2006 V6 is the first Ford I've owned, so I am not sure of Ford's warranty procedures or service habits yet. My past experience with other cars has been such that I'd expect them to pop in a new radio NOW, not make you wait for the radio while it is out for repair.

With a new car, under warranty, you should expect no less. If I were you I'd elevate the problem to higher management of the dealership or even Ford.

 

i bought my 05 june 21. after i had it for 3 weeks cd quit working, radio still wprked. i took it back they said need new radio it would take 3-5 days. well 4.5 weeks later new radio finally arrives. they left the old one in place so i had am/fm just no cd. in the 4.5 weeks i called probably 20 different times trying to get it expedited.

 

I picked up mine June 27th. Not a single complaint with the Shaker 500, other than I wish Ford used better speakers.
