Picture Request - Roush or Cue-Ball Shift Knob on Stock Shift Handle
Picture Request - Roush or Cue-Ball Shift **** on Stock Shift Handle
I'm debating picking up a white Roush cue-ball style shift ****, but I'm thinking it's probably going to look goofy on the stock shifter and boot. Does anyone have any pics of a cue-ball shifter by itself? NOT looking for pictures of Hurst / Roush etc on a chrome handle (short shift kit).
Here's a few of mine. It came with a black "bezel" i guess you'd call it. The black looked fine, but, as with all shift *****, it had a nut underneath to keep it in place. I had my dad fashion one out of aluminum with threads, so I could get rid of the not on the bottom. I love the way it looks. The first pic is now, the second pic is with the hardware included with the ball.

Steve, that is EXACTLY what I was looking for! So the Roush **** actually comes with that black piece that holds the shift boot down? That's what I was really worried about (appearance-wise), as having the shift boot right against the ball shifter would look strange. What did you do to get the polished look in the first picture? That's exactly how I want mine to look.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Good to hear! I bought mine from American Muscle and it came with it.
My dad took a piece of billet and threaded it, so I could but it up to the shifter ****. I turned the black piece upside down. (I keep the black piece in place with a few layers of electric tape wrapped around the shifter handle under the black piece. It keeps it snug and in place)
I love it, and I there's no annoying nut under the ****. If you end up going that route, I did have him make 2 for me, just in case. I might let it go at the right price.

Ahh I see what you're saying about threading the billet piece now. I can kind of see in the larger picture that there is a single nut directly under the **** itself, you're saying you removed this, and the billet piece replaced it, and just extends all the way down to the black washer piece, correct?
Thanks for the offer on the billet piece. I'm going to order the shift **** Monday I think, and see how I like it with the standard black retainer. I'll PM you if I decide I can't take it though.

Bought the billiard ball on ebay for 25 bucks.
Amazing how many different billiard ***** are out there, from sports teams to military insignias, pinup girls, cartoon characters, etc.
Sent it to Bruce Roosa at koolknobs.com, he drilled and threaded it for 25 bucks, and he sells a boot adapter for another 25.
That was the first I had done, I also had him make a Raiders for a friend, and recently another Seahawks ****, but it's marbled silver with the old logo.

I like that look!
