Photos of Shaker 500 w Sirius

Does anyone have a photo of the Shaker 500 with the sirius. The dealership did not have one on the lot and I want to see the actuall difference. They say that some sirius from the factory uses the aux button which that would knock out my ipod... Someone said that there is actually a button for the Sirius on the Radio itself. Would love to see.

thanks!

Mark

I think you can just hit the AUX button to switch between the auxiliary inputs you have hooked up (satellite and ipod).

Here is a video of the shaker 500 playing sirius satellite, you do use the aux button, so no ipod hook up as of yet, but the 07's do have both an aux jack and sirius so hopefully should be able to do it in the future.

I wasnt aware that the 07's were any different. I thought they had the aux button as well. Talk to KC about it, he can probably clear anything up for you with this. good luck

the '07 does not have a SAT button you just press the Aux button once for Satellite radio then again for an MP3 (said MP3 cause i am anti-Ipod and perfer my 80GB Zune) then one more time to turn off the Aux

Well like i said you can verify this with KC are ford parts guy. He has an 07 with sirius etc. You only have the aux button, and it toggles between the sat, 1,2,3, aux, so I am sure we will be able to add the ipod aux jack in the future. If you look at the sirius plug n play topic, it has the whole installation of a factory system after the factory. Antenna goes on trunk lid or kit comes with normal magnetic type you can use just about anywhere, the back shelf etc. So it just depends on what you want to do. It can all be done. just got to do it, LOL.

It will fit except to use the aux jack you have to get a different harness. If you don't need or buy the harness just retrofitting the Sirius to your 06 Shaker will work just fine.

sooo where are we...

So I guess to summerize my first posts - There are DIFFERENT shaker 500 radios - ones that allow more than just one input?? Is that correct??

I would think that all you would need to get Sirius is the Sirius Tuner and plug it into the back of the Shaker 500..why else would the option be only $175 or so more..when you purchased the car.

Sorry to repeat myself I am just trying to get it straight.. dealers have no clue..

thanks!

because its a lot cheaper when built into the car directly at the factory, anything you do to your car after factory will be more expensive, wheels only so much, but if you want them later twice as much, active alarm few hundred twice as much later. Its easier for them to add on already existing options to a car they are building than retrofitting. Hence the more expensive cost. That as well as the demand for whichever item. If you are interested in this just give KC, a call he will let you know what he knows. Good luck
