The head unit allows me to control the amp crossover points and the amp gain. It can name your CD's and remember the title that you gave it each time you put that CD in again. The display is a cool white and the buttons can change from red or green.
I think I am going to add the UPR Round A/C **** Kit - Satin Finish to inhance the round theme inside!
The sound quality of this unit is great...I could not believe how much of an improvement it was over the stock CD player. It comes with a remote that is too cool!

Yes I did with the help of a friend of mine....the only slow point we had was the firewall issue and we finally decided to use the same hole where the antenna lead came through. The back seat was a little tricky when running the amp wires and RCA's. The seat came loose from its brackets at the bottom. One other thing....we had to loosen the orange radio antenna lead to make it reach the back of the new Kenwood unit.
Just take your time and don't try to rush anything....cause you always end up breaking something if you do. Good Luck & thanks for the compliments!!

I have that HU in my Ranger. I've had it for about 1 1/2 years. It may be just mine, but the CD's skip quite a bit. It will just be sitting there idling in my drive way and all of the sudden start saying "Reading." You can hear the laser going back and forth and the only way to make it stop is to hold the eject button until it finally spits it out. Then you just put it back in and it will play just fine.
My only other nit pick has to do with flipping through songs. You have to turn the **** for each song. It's a bit more trouble than simply pressing a button.

Hey joe, thanks for the info..
Im currently planning my stereo upgrade... did those Kenwood 6x8s fit in the doors without having to cut? I was hoping to get Infinity Kappa 682.7cf 6x8s in my door without having to modify anything..

Yes, They fit fine.....I think I had to bend one of the tabs to get it to fit flush. No problems though. I guess the only disadvantage of the Kenwoods would be I choose the two-ways in stead of the 3-ways. Sound great to me over the factory! Good Luck!
