New head unit or LOC?

Greetings, new to the forum but very glad to see everything here.

I am the second owner of a 2006 gt convertible. I want to add a sub/subs. In reading, an LOC of some type is brought up to create the pre-amp for the sub line. However I also want to add an AUX input for an MP3 player. At this point would it be better to look into a new head unit with sub pre-amp and AUX input all together?

I think you'd be better off with a new head unit. It will give you a better signal to your amp. It'll also give you inputs such as Bluetooth.

A new head unit is definitely your best option. Do you have a shaker system or the base stereo?
