I think you need more than just the faces , I think you may need a whole new speedometer if you want more than 140 ?

USSpeedo makes new faces, but like 05YelowGT said, if you want it to go higher than 140 you might need to reprogram the speedo or get a new one.

I've got the SS F 58R (Stainless steel with red needles).

Thanks for the info guys ......... I was kinda afraid that new 'faces' itself just won't do it

Yeah, like they mentioned, if you just changed the face, your speedo would be off anyway. It would need to be recalibrated, and I dont think Ive ever seen anyone make faces for the S197's. There was a guy mentioned a while ago that makes custom clusters, but I dont remember his name. Search through the GT500 cluster swap threads.

200mph speedo

Saleen makes a 200 mph speedo overlay. Some guy on ebay sells them or tries to sell them:

Interesting.. I like the Saleen overlay. Does anyone know if this would require a new gauge cluster - or can we somehow recalibrate the stock cluster to work with this?

Has anyone tried using a gray or stainless steel face with MyColor? I'm wondering if it would look right and be easy to read during the day or night.

There's a German company I know that sells gauge faces going up to 300 kph (no mph, sorry) for $220. They can also recalibrate the cluster for another $110. But I guess this is something to be considered only in Europe and maybe Canada.

you can do it with a tuner.......

same type of change you would make if you got different size wheels, just way more drastic...

Yeah another thread had a step by step guide on the s197 forums. 100 to send to Saleen to recalibrate the speedo. Just need to cut off the glass on the stock cluster and stick this bish on then send it in. I dont know if its worth the 130 or so to do this mod...but I LOVE the Saleen gauge look.

I just put in stainless steel (US Speedo) gauge faces and they are GREAT! And, they work perfectly with "My Color" lighting. These are the best looking gauge faces I have ever seen
