I ordered my Gt 3 weeks ago with iup will this affect me?????????????????

 

Don't worry, you'll get your car with the my color. I predict this will quietly go away very quicky.

 

don't worry about it...it's no big deal...it's a dashboard light...that's all...a bunch of little lights...I'd worry more about the gear problems that many posters are expressing...
GEARS=worry
light bulbs=no problem

 

Gear probs?????? I like the lights, what i really like is the message center...

crap i really want the MYcolor i hope they keep it!!!!!!!!!!!!!..............

 

All I know is that I will be cancelling my order if I can't get the full IUP. If my car shows up without it, I won't buy it. Sure it's just a gimmick, but I like it. (I also HATE the ford green dash lights) The Mustang has NEVER had a good interior until now, which is a major selling point for me. The IUP w/MyColor contributes greatly to the coolness of the interior, and without it the car as a whole loses cool points.

If I buy this car it has to have everything I want or else I'll be kicking myself in the azz for the next 5 years. This really stinks cause I love the 05 and I'm dying to get mine, but it's gotta be all or nothin' for me. I guess I'll have to wait for an se otherwise. Let's hope everything works out! Heh, maybe I'll get mine earlier since I didn't order a spoiler!

 

something about a student makeing up this color idea he didnt have any rights on it did he? so why can he sue?

 

Ah..... but he owns a patent on it (alledged), that's why!

I wouldn't worry about it at all. Companies the size and scope of Ford get sued regurlarly for all kinds of things. They'll settle out of court eventually and the original Patent Holder (if in fact he has a valid claim) will get a pile of money and everybody will be happy and dancing in a field of Poppies!

 

The lawsuit is over the color shifting, not the message center. That will stay anyhow. And so will the my color feature, trust me.

Ford will give the man his cut (with some legal reluctance, I'm sure) and everyone will be happy.

 

even if for some reason Ford decides not to keep MyColor, how hard is it really to swap dash bulbs? people have been doing it for years.
