I am currently putting in my new head unit. I have the Scosche mounting kit. I can't figure out how to mount the head unit. There are no brackets to screw the head unit into. And nothing came with the kit except for the face plate. Anyone know how to do this?

Thanks

Most new head units (HU) come with a sleeve that the HU fits thru. The sleeve would fit into the kit opening. Once the sleeve is flush with the kit you would bend the sleeves tabs to keep it secure. You should then be able to put the HU into the sleeve until it snaps into palce. Then you would mount the kit in the dash where the old HU was. This should work. Check you HU manual, it should tell you if the HU came with a sleeve. Hope this helps.

Ya I figured thats what I needed. I don't have the sleeve anymore cuz I had to use it in my other car. I ended up making a couple of custom mounting brackets. Worked okay.

Thanks.
