do you think that HU will ever be available here in the U.S.
Probably not...I think it came out a couple of years ago, and the US is going away from Double-DINs...they're getting pretty hard to find in your local stores.

Does the Factory head unit have RCA outputs? How do you get to the battery, am i supposed to drill through the firewall? I am doing my own system and I need help. Any answers/advice will be greatly appreciated.

THANKS
The factory head unit does not include RCA outputs. I unfortunately don't know anything intensive about the installation, since I wasn't there when it occurred. However, as I've offered before, call Richie at Car Toys at 720-981-0300 and he can probably tell you what you need to know.

Do you have problems with your doors rattling at all? Do you get good punch from the aftermarket door woofers?

I am getting very good sound from the speakers...I love putting people in there, putting on a bass-heavy song, and watching their reaction when it moves their pantlegs. I am getting a slight rattle from the passenger door, but I already spoke to the installers about it...the first opportunity I have, I'm going down there to get it fixed.

does the car sound "full" without having rear speakers???

I am still not clear on how it is wired.

do you have rear speakers still?

What do you mean by not having rear speakers? I have 5x7's in the rear deck, but no subs in the trunk. I don't seem to be missing anything...the bass doesn't seem muffled or anything since it's originating from right next to me, as opposed to the trunk. I like how the sound seems complete and comes from the sides, rather than from behind. Does that answer your question?

It's a 6 channel amp...the JL e6450. It has plenty of power for the speakers I put in it...not going to win any SPL competitions, but loud enough for me.

You got it...those channels are designed to handle subs.

Hehe...gotta read the original description again once in a while.

Grats on the new system, got mine back last week and I love it. JL audio makes some great stuff don't they?

Specs..

Kenwood KRC-X569 head unit (transferred from my truck)
Sirius sattelite radio
2 pair Boston Acoustics SL80 component plated speakers
10w6v2 JL Audio sub in a custom fiberglass box tucked in the left side of the trunk
JL Audio D class 500/1 amp for the sub
JL Audio D class 300/4 for the BA's
Amps are mounted in a custom amp rack tucked away on the right side of the trunk.

Leaves me plenty of room in the trunk for whatever I need.
I have been banging the sub for a week now trying to loosen it up, its starting to sound real good too
How do you like those BA SL80's? I have BA components in my BMW and they are incredible. But I was thinking that I would go with a simpler install when I get the mustang...............by using the existing 5x7 holes with the SL80's. I would probably use the same 4 channel amp also. Thanks.

Congrats on your system. I like the door subs w/o the grills personally.

I haven't had any skipping at all...it works great. I have yet to try an MP3 cd, but I don't expect a lot of problems there either.
