Check the passenger-side floor board for moisture....... if it's dry, buy yourself an air freshener. If it's wet, pray it's still under warranty.

I once worked on a Taurus that had the nastiest interior smell, turned out to be a dead mouse inside the passenger's side rocker panel. I don't think anything can be as bad as that, it almost made me lose my lunch.

Definitely change the cabin filter, and look for any signs of water entry in the passenger's side. It could be a leak in the cowl area. It took 2 visits to the dealer to fix mine. First time out in heavy rain, big puddle in the pass. side floor. I caught it fast enough that it didn't stink up the interior. Second time wasn't as bad, but the carpet was wet because of a piece of sealant that moved.

Here is a link on how to do it.

You might be able to get the filter at autozone, but I had to get mine from the dealer.

Got a wife/fiance/girlfriend that drives your car alone? Someone may have a habit you don't know about. Otherwise, it's probably your cabin air filter.
