MTX Thunderforms- 2005 Mustang

This looks quite intriguing, but expensive (this setup comes with the 200 watt class D amp). If anyone does have this, how easy was the setup?
If you have a Shaker 500, can you keep the factory subs plugged in and working along with this sub?
And most important, does it sound good?
Any help or input is greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Razorbackhogs

It is technically the same as the Scoshe. So, yes, you can keep the door subs, good sound is subjective, and you can get it without the woofer at the MitekFactoryOutlet.com store. Add your own woofer.

I have this sub combo kit and love it. Took a few hours to install (had a 3 year old helper )
I also installed Dynamat at the same time, so that did add some time.
I will say, the instructions are good that come with the sub and the installation was easy. The sound is good enough for me as it thumps rather nicely.
I will post some pics later.

I thank you both for your input.
Hey Infinity, 319.95 for just an enclosure sounds expensive. Anyway, Can any 12 inch sub fit in this enclosure? I know it depends on the depth of the sub, but are all of the fittings the same? Can I put a 12w6v2 JL Audio sub in this enclosure and power it with a separate amp?
Any pictures are greatly appreciated, Fryguy
Thanks

I own it as well with the exception, mine is the none amplified. The MTX woofer rocks! I was running a Rockford Fosgate Phase 3, 2 ohm woofer before. The MTX setup blows it away. The Amp I'm pushing it with is a Boston Acoustic.

I just bought the no-amp version and replaced the woofer with my JLAudio W6. I had the JLAudio box, it sounded great but took up most of my trunk space. The MTX fits perfectly, now if I want to use the trunk, I can. I have the GT convertible and according to Scosche, their box wouldn't fit.
BTW, I have a nice JLAudio box with MTX woofer for sale!

I took the picture after testing the fit. I've since removed the rubber pad.
After attaching the screws from the inside, there was still a need for additional bracing. I added a small L bracket to the top to hold the box in place. The woofer is a JLAudio W6.
