Is there a certain type to use? I've burned 3 new Memorex cd's and it keeps spitting them out saying bad disk. Also, what is the best program to use to burn them?

I've used Roxio Easy CD Creator on all 8 of my discs, they all work just fine. I've used Sony Audio CD-R media for them.

Maybe you are setting up the structure of the cd wrong.

I believe you can have folders but not subfolders, best to check a manual

I switched to VERITAS RecordNow. They are working great now. Was using Windows MediaPlayer before.

iTunes works flswlessly...although my tags are messed up. I only get the song name...not artist and album. But yeah....worked great.

If you have Windows XP, just drag and drop the MP3's into appropriately named folders on your CD. Your CD folder will say "Files Ready To Be Written to CD". Then finalize the CD by right clicking on the CD and choosing the "Write these files to CD"

Don't choose Hi-Mat style, just go with regular.

No need for 3rd party software.

Didn't work that way for me. I used Nero and they came out fine, tags and all.

Can you clarify what "didn't work that way" for you?

Nero is a great tool, as are others. If you want or need the control, they are very helpful.

For creating Shaker-compatible MP3 CD's, however, they aren't needed at all. I'm trying to help those who don't wish to pay for commercial applications.
