Mounting Sirius Starmate in 06 GT Vert.

I currently have the Starmate and was wondering where people are mounting it, besides the window or the visor. I bought the PIE adapter and am going to install it, but I can't seem to find a good place to mount the Sirius. I was thinking in between the vents above the radio, but can't figure out what I would need in order to do this. Velcro?? Some kind of plate mount?? Any help and pics would be greatly appreciated.

i had mine suctioned to the windshield for the longest time and occasionally had it just laying in the cup holder and would lay it in the console in the bin when I wasnt using it.

I could never find it in myself to mount it to anything even if the interior is plastic. I was going to get a bracket from pro-fit but that looked ugly as well.

i gave up trying to make it look good, dealt with it and then got a new head unit that uses sirius in a remote box with the stereo controlling it.

problem solved.

nice find. I ordered a bunch of universal type mounts from ebay recently. But I'm glad to see pro-fit-intl has some vehicle specific mounts that i can order.

i had a mount from pro-fit before in my Acura 3.2TLS and it didnt look that bad and required no holes to be drilled.

With the mustang it requires you to drill two/three holes in a spot behind a panel near the glove box.. I just couldn't find it in myself to drill into my dash, even if it was a platic/cheap ford part.

If I understand it correctly, the holes will be hidden by a trim piece. If not, then i wouldn't drill them either.
