Mirror Control Knob
Mirror Control ****
Can anyone tell me how to remove the mirror control **** on the drivers side door? I just got the SHR **** (which is a pretty sweet piece of work) and I don't know exactly how to remove the **** and I'd just as soon avoid breaking anything.
If anyone knows where there is an exploded diagram that would be awesome too.

PM'ed you back - but I'm surprised you didn't get the install directions, we did print them, but obviously in the flurry that is Monday we somehow didn't get them in the package with yours (oops.)
I'll work on posting them to the site either tonight or first thing tomorrow for you, it's an easy pull & replace deal.

I got it!
Here's a pic, not too great, but it was at night. Thanks for the quick reply Marcello! I just wasn't sure if I was supposed to pull the **** off or not, and the car is only a month old so I was a little concerned...
Any plans for making a bezel? Or can you point me to one you'd recommend? I think I'd like some chrome to surround the ****. Kind of a mix of chrome and satin like the rest of the IUP interior.

We didn't plan on it because I felt this was a case of keeping a little lower-key was the way to go, but obviously if there is a demand for that, we could look at it. The piece would have to be a "cap over" though, as I disassembled this thing all the way down, and there is not a way to replace the bezel, which you know we like to do.
Honestly, the piece mentioned by S197V6 looks very good as a short-term solution.

I realize a "cap over" is probably the solution that was most feasible. And that's pretty much what I was expecting. I just wanted a little surround to it since it's by itself in the middle of a dark corner of my door.
As a follow up, looking at it in the daylight, the button is outstanding. It slipped right on, no adjusting and works like it was there from the factory. I couldn't really ask for better. Although I thought about possibly painting the details black (like on your black **** with white details).
And to everyone else reading this, I sent Marcello a PM, made a thread, and sent an email. So you could say I bothered him a little
He took time out last night within about an hour or so, to answer all three! That's customer service. That's another customer that will be buying a lot more from SHR.
Thanks again.
