Hello everyone!

Is lowering the drivers seat possible? The reason I ask is I would like to sit a bit lower in the car, giving me a better feel for driving. Being 6' 1", the current location is, for me anyway, too high.

Cheers,
Jon

Power or manual seat? manual seat is that long **** that doesnt look like it does anything. Just keep pushing down on it to go down (pump it over and over) or up to go up.
ya i know what u mean, im 6'4" and feel squished if its not down

Hello everyone!

Maybe I wasn't clear enough in my first post. I know how to lower the power seat. WhatI was taking about was taking the seat that is in there now and practically attaching it to the floor. Since I am the only one that drives the car, once the seating position is found. I used to drive Formula Fords and I always loved to look out just over the top of the steering wheel, as we sat very low in the car. That is what I was hoping to reproduce here.

Cheers,
Jon

Having removed a power driver's seat from the 05 Mustang, it sits very low in the car. With the seat in the lowest position, the rear frame of the seat is almost on top of the power seat mechanism. I think Ford extracted almost all the legroom and headroom they could. The seat foam in the bottom seat cushion is only about 1.25" thick, so there's little if any room there.

You might try contacting Scott Hoag at MRT, since he's installed Sparco, and other custom seats in the S197.
