Let's see your interiors!
I just finished the rear panels in my convetible. I had been wanting to do them ever since I first got the car. Thanks to MTAS for being the pioneer and writing up the instructions, I finally got around to doing it on my own. It's a lot more difficult on a convertible because of the rear spekers. I took it to several upholstery shops and no one would touch it for less then $600 and their idea was to simply punch holes over the speaker area but they could not guarantee that they would line up right.
Finally, I decided to do it myself. At first I thought about just covering up the speaker area and seeing how it affected the sound. In all reality, I probably could have gotten away with that but it did muffle the sound a bit. Finally, I took the panels off and drilled the holes out with a dremmel. It was the only way to make sure that the holes on the material lined up with the speaker holes and it would not affect the sound quality. On some of the holes, you could se the white outline of the material inside the hole. I fixed this by using a red sharpie marker and coloring the inside of the holes red. This was an extremely time consuming project.

I still haven't cleaned the interior after the install. There is a little bit of glue marks and other marks on the black plastic. I can't wait for Spring so I can take her out and give her a thorough cleaning.

Thanks, I actually did the seats myself. I bought them from Katzkins and it took me between 6 and 8 hours to take off the stock leather and put them on. I have not done much more to the interior yet but I am installing a Eclipse 5435 DVD/NAV soon.
Here is my interior. It's all stock right now. I plan a few enhancements but I don't want to do anything that strays too far from the stock look.

My first mods are a couple of things you cannot see in the picture. I got satin aluminum door lock ***** and the Mustang key head covers.
My next mod I am going to leave as a small surprise. I will say it involves a genuine Ford part that will give an interesting look to the console.
I also plan on getting GT500 pedal pads and finding something I like to make the ugly handbrake lever look better.
I am debating buying a satin aluminum applique for the top surface of the console. I may consider the ambient lighting for under the dash. I am also considering adding satin alumium highlights to the power window switch bezels and the big rings on the door speakers.
The only other mods I am interested in are for the exterior. I would like black Shelby stripes, a genuine Ford chrome exhaust tip and a set of those great looking chrome taillamp bezels that are 3-dimensionally detailed.

I also wish that the vent trim was more like the brushed aluminum. They seem to be a bit bright when the sun hits them while driving.
I might have an extra chrome tip. I am waiting for my mufflers to come they are supposed to have chrome tips. Have you seen the sequential tail lights?
Please do share photos of the ford part that you are putting on the console. Can't wait to see it!
Hey if you are going to do the GT500 pedals get them from AAC4Parts@aol.com you can get them cheep. I got mine for $71 shipped and that was for the 3 pedals (I have manual) and the dead pedal. I know for automatic vehicles it would be less. SilverHorseracing.com has an awesome brake handle. Check it out

I will be interested one of your extra chrome tips...
The part I am getting for my console is something I have done before with other cars with an automatic. It probably has been done before by other people and I am guessing it's not an astounding surprise, but I think it will be an interesting enhancement and variation that will have a completely stock looking appearance.
I am always thinking of interesting things to do without going overboard... I don;t want to end up like my first Mustang the Cobra II where I blacked out all the exterior chrome and interior brushed aluminum & chrome. I overdosed on black Krylon paint and killed a few brain cells doing that....

I love sequential taillamps... I have not seen anyone with that mod around here and my only reservation is if they are legal here in NC or not. But it woud be cool to do that and I am very good with electrical wiring thought it's probably all plug-in...
I did however already make a modification to the taillamps of my new Pony. I don't know why I am obsessed with it but with my former 1994 & 1999 Mustangs (I swapped the taillamps on the 1994 for 1996 units), I simply switched the position of the center turn/brake bulb and socket with the intermost one so that sections 1st and 3rd light up and flash. Also on my past Mustangs I wired in the center section with a two way socket and bulb into the 3rd brake lamp circuit This allows all three sections to light up during braking while only the 1st and 3rd sections flash during a turn signal while the center section stays lit. For my new car I have chosen at this time not to wire the center sections into the 3rd brake light. I may decide to do it later.
I think I am interested in the dash mounted start engine button. Although its unecessarily redundant, it looks cool and purposeful. The power outlet in the upper middle of the dash is useless to me as I don't like cords hanging in the way. I also hate the boring little cap that keeps falling off.
