Just by pressure. On the back of the welting is a small fin, and it just fits right into the panel between the plastic panel and the vinyl in the door. If you have the IUP interior, you can add this. Without the IUP, the welting won't stay in, as the gap is too big. A very cool mod for very little money!!!

hey donna how much did you pay for the headrests. I wanted to get the GT emblem put on my headrests exactly like yours. how much an where did you get them do at?

I paid $60 for both of them to be embroidered by a lady recommended by my upholstery shop. They took them to her to have it done.

I don't think that'll be a problem. That panel flies down when the airbag deploys.

I think it splits right there in the middle, doesnt it? In that case it wouldnt be affected.
