Thinking about putting the 2013 GT Premium leather Recaros and back seats in my 05 GT base. Even thinking about putting the 10-13 GT Premium steering wheel in it (it has the Interior Upgrade Package, so it does have the aluminum dash to match). I know it will be tough to do and expensive, but I really think it'll be the difference in this interior. Plus, the seats that it has are the most cheap, unsupportive seats I have ever sat in. The 05 GT Premium has the same exact seat but with the cheapest leather in the world. And, upgrading to aftermarket leather won't do because it's still an unsupportive seat. Thoughts?

 

I swapped mine out for the 07-09 GT500 seats and I like them a lot, but I imagine the Recaros will be even nicer.

If I were you I'd go to a dealer and just sit in the Recaros to see how they feel. Some guys don't like them... some do.

 

My dad has a 2012 Boss 302 w/ Recaros and I ride w/ him a lot in it. They're the best seats I've sat in in a performance car. I also sat in a 2012 GT500 w/ leather Recaros at a local dealer showroom. Those were even better than my dad's cloth Recaros, but they weren't the highest quality leather. Just a tad bit rubbery.

You know you like the seats... you want to put them in your car... what was the question?

 

Just wanted to be sure I was making the right decision here. And, to see if others have done the same thing. I may not have stated the clearly on the first post, but thought those who did would have chimed up. Some mods I do w/o question, some I do w/ question.
