After adjusting the built-in EQ and crossovers, it sounds a little better than stock and the door subs seem to be working better IMO. To make it sound better, I'll be changing the 6x8 door and rear deck speakers and adding a sub in the trunk.

No, I don't think it over powers the stock speakers unless you add more amps.

This head unit can also display jpeg images. That's what the Mustang Pony is.

I got mine from www.etronics.com for $869.00 + shipping. I have a 2 week old Kenwood DDX7017 with a scratched screen that I'm selling. I also have a brand new installation kit and a voltage regulator. PM me if you're interested.
Thanks man for the gouge. as far as the pony pic, does it store that into a built in hard drive or was it just reading off of the CD? If you can make a pic a permanent "wallpaper" then that would be awesome! And how is etronics? Are they a good company?

Helps if you adjust the angle of the camera. I pulled mine in some, then tilted it downward. Sealed around it with clear silicone. Helped alot with seeing what was actually behind the car instead of it just being a high tech rear view mirror.
Thanks! I'll try that!

It was just reading off of my burned DVD+R. As soon as I choose the image file to display, I pause it. Even after I pause it, it automatically goes to the next file after about 10 or 15 minutes (maybe to prevent burn-in).

Etronics was good for me. From ordering to receiving took longer than expected. About a week to process, then a few more days to ship. About 10 days total. Not too good since they charged me for express mail USPS (shipping to my military APO address takes longer than usual anyway). But the product was packed well and undamaged. Everything was good except the shipping time and shipping price.

Where are you stationed? I am currnetly in Iraq awaiting my return to the states so I can spend all of my tax free cash.

Did you install the unit yourself? And did you install a bypass deal so that you can watch video while driving?

I'm a civilian contractor working at Kunsan (or Gunsan) Air Base, South Korea.

Yes, I installed everything myself (with most of the help from Hawgman) because I didn't want anyone damaging my car. I probably have the most knowledge of the car (thanks to this forum) than any stereo installers in Korea (Korea was allotted only 50 2005 V-6 Mustangs, no GTs).

I learned the bypass deal here on this forum...just ground the green parking sensor wire to the chassis.
