IUP look alike
First off, I know there are ALOT of IUP threads on here, I read all of them. I know how the topic sometimes seems rehashed, but i'll try to keep this one as different as possible.
My question is, if i order ithe IUP "lite" is it possible to order the aluminum panels from ford to be installed by my ford dealer at a later date? This way i could enjoy my car for a while and then add the panels at a later date. And, do yall think that the panels would look decent if they were put on aftermarket? And last, but not least, any idea if this would cost more or less than the full IUP version.
thanks for the help guys

At this point in time I doubt it... IUP Lite is too offset the parts shortage and I'm guessing the panels are part of the shortage if they aren't included.
Although... Aftermarket may put something out to do it. IMO if you want the IUP upgrades I'd just wait for it. It won't take that long and all that happens is some of the hype dies down making it easier to buy the car.

You'd miss out on the other IUP bits like the contrasting door panel insets, the extra guages and the door sill inserts.
Suggest you put in an order with IUP and just accept the wait.
The IUP-Lite is mainly there to make the dealer lot cars look a bit less bland until the IUP shortage is resolved. If you don't like IUP then it is attractive because you get the leather wheel, but if you do like IUP it will never live up to your expectations.

I am sure the aftermarket will offer something as an alternative to the aluminum panel. Carbon fibre, woodgrain, aluminum mesh, all will be offered. What about an "engine turned" aluminum panel? that would look really good as well.
