On page 17 of the 05 Mustang Advertisment, the IUP description includes the following: "door scuff plates with bright Mustang lettering inserts". My particular GT model has no bright lettering inserted in the satin finished panels; its recessed for it. I feel certain that I have seen an 05 GT with the bright lettering in it. The dealership thinks I'm nuts. Can anyone confirm or deny their conclusions? If you have a photo of the bright lettering please post. Thanks. :bang:

Here's what the non-IUP lettering looks like.

 

Jimmy you car may have been built with the non IUP door plates even though you ordered the IUP .Mine was delivered with one IUP driver side and one non IUP passenger side .The center insert is crome on the IUP ...here's a pic. As for lettering in the word Mustang there is none unless you go aftermarket like bob white decals like the previous posted photo.

And heres what you might have ,theres the pic of my car on delivery with NO IUP on the passenger side (thats now fixed).
